The City of Natchitoches is responding to an emergency water main issue that has required crews to shut off water service to the east side of the city.
The outage is necessary to allow repairs to a major water line that serves as the primary artery supplying water to East Natchitoches. City utility crews are on site and working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service.
Residents and businesses on the east side of the river should expect an interruption in water service until repairs are completed. We understand the inconvenience this causes and appreciate the public’s patience as our crews work to resolve the issue.
Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available, including an estimated time for service restoration.
