Krewe of Excellence Natchitoches Announces Royalty for the 2026–2027 Mardi Gras Season

NATCHITOCHES, La. — The spirit of Mardi Gras is already in the air as the Krewe of Excellence Natchitoches proudly unveils its dazzling Royal Court for the 2026–2027 season, promising a year filled with elegance, celebration, and timeless tradition.

Leading this year’s festivities are King Excellence XII, Mr. Albert Middleton, and Queen Excellence XII, Ms. Angela Toussaint Perkins, who will reign over the Krewe’s highly anticipated season of pageantry. Known for their poise, community spirit, and dedication, the royal pair is set to bring fun and excitement to every event on the calendar.

The excitement will officially begin at the Krewe’s Grande Coronation, where the Royalty Select will be formally presented and crowned in a spectacular Court ceremony. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Natchitoches Event Center, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of celebration.

Joining the royal couple in this prestigious court are faithful members who will help carry forward the Krewe’s tradition of excellence:

· Duke of Perfection to the King: Mr. Derrick Sowell

· Duchess of Superiority to the Queen: Ms. Cynthia Robinson

· Duchess of Perfection to the Queen: Ms. Anitra Moses

Each member of the Court brings their own flair and dedication, adding to the vibrant tapestry that defines the Krewe of Excellence.

Adding to the evening’s pomp and ceremony, Ball Captain XII Mr. Ronald Helaire will guide the festivities with style and enthusiasm. He will join Krewe President Mr. Lamarr McGaskey to lead the traditional toasts honoring the newly crowned royalty and officially proclaim the theme for the Krewe’s much-anticipated Grande Ball, scheduled for January 16, 2027. The theme announcement is always a highlight of Coronation night, sparking excitement and imagination for the grand celebration to come.
