Natchitoches Parish Library’s (NPL) most recent segment of its Children’s Summer Reading Program included a variety of animals presented by Safari Station. The show included fun facts about the diet, habitat, and behavior of reptiles, scorpions, ferrets, and rare insects. After the show, children were invited to handle the friendlier members of the creature cast.

NPL will be closed Friday, June 19, for the Juneteenth Holiday. While there will not be a weekly Children’s Summer Reading performance, other NPL activities include the following:
