NATCHITOCHES – The NSU Summer Dinner Theatre will take audiences back to the disco scene of the 1970s when it presents “Death by Disco” on June 16-20 and 23-27 on the stage of the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and dinner begins at 6 p.m. Robert Richoux is the director.

Tickets are $60.54, which includes dinner and the show. To purchase tickets, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nsu-summer-dinner-theatre-death-by-disco-tickets-1989841576721?aff=oddtdtcreator

For more information, call (318) 357-4483.

The play welcomes the audience to The Land of Oz Discoteria and the World Championship King and Queen of Disco Dance Contest. The finalists will be bumping to that disco beat, each and every one of them hoping to be crowned the new monarch of the light fantastic. Our DJ, The Boogie Man, is going to be spinning some killer tunes, so put on your polyester and your platform shoes, as murder erupts in this ’70’s disco mystery.

Richoux could not resist invoking the titles of a few disco classics in talking about the show.

“We are excited to be back on A.A. Fredericks Auditorium Stage for the 2026 Summer Dinner Theatre, and that’s ‘The Way We Like It,’” said Richoux. “The show is going to be ‘One Bad Mama Jama,’ as we find out who will be ‘Stayin’ Alive’ in this murder mystery show. We have been ‘Working Day and Night’ to get this show ready by building and painting the stage and starting rehearsals. This cast is doing ‘The Hustle’ and ‘Won’t Stop Until You Get Enough’ laughter and ‘Hot Stuff’ (the delicious food).”

The cast is Rosey Files of Cleveland, Texas, as DJ BoogyMan, Jezek Maxwell of Hallsville, Texas, as Tony Moroni, Valerie Henderson of Covington as Kathleen O’ Reilly,  KeShaun Bridgewater of Gonzales as Vincent Elbodini, Hannah Miller of Lake Charles as Angela Moroni, Kaitlyn Williams of Arp, Texas, as Theresa Maria DeNiro, and Beau Bernard of Thibodaux as Wally Papo.
