WTEN — Weekend matches postponed due to inclement weather

NATCHITOCHES — Northwestern State’s weekend tennis matches against UIW and Lamar have been postponed due to inclement weather, prompting adjustments to the Demons’ upcoming schedule.
The matches, originally set for Saturday at 1 p.m. against UIW and Monday at 11 a.m. against Lamar, will now be played later in the week.
NSU is now hosting UIW on Monday at 11 a.m., while the matchup with Lamar has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. The contest against Lamar is also serving as Senior Day for the Demons, celebrating Sofi Garcia, Zoi Spyrou and Lolita Hukasian.
NSU enters the final stretch of the regular season with a 6–1 mark in Southland Conference play, positioning the Demons near the top of the standings. The Demons currently sit second in the conference behind McNeese as the race tightens heading toward postseason play.
The schedule shift allows NSU to remain at home in Natchitoches as they continue SLC play, adjusting on the fly after another round of weather disruptions.
