The City of Natchitoches advises that Washington Street between Lafayette Street and Texas Street will be reopened to traffic overnight on Monday, March 23, 2026, but will be closed again at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, to complete pavement repairs associated with the sewer repair work that was performed today.
While this section of Washington Street is closed, through traffic will once again be detoured via Church Street, Third Street, and Texas Street, but access to Front Street businesses will be maintained via the side streets connecting Front Street and Second Street.
It is anticipated that all repair work will be completed on Tuesday, and this street will be reopened to all traffic sometime on Tuesday afternoon.
Again, the City of Natchitoches appreciates everyone’s patience as we work to complete these repairs as quickly as possible.
