
Discover NSU Cenla March 19: A day to explore and connect
NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University invites the central Louisiana community to Discover NSU Cenla, a day to explore and connect with faculty and learn about degree programs and resources available at the campus at England Air Park. Guests are welcome to visit the campus, 1410 Neel Kearby Blvd., Alexandria, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19.
Those who attend can tour newly enhanced facilities, meet with faculty and staff and learn about scholarships and career pathways. The campus offers two-year degree programs including Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), Associate of General Studies and military media/paramedic to ASN. Bachelor’s degree programs are available in business administration, criminal justice, nursing, RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), radiologic sciences, social work and general studies.
Discover NSU Cenla is ideal for students interested in starting their college careers, transfer students or individuals interested in a career change. The event is also open to all community, education and economic development partners in the region, includingEngland Airpark, Rapides Parish School Board, City of Pineville, City of Alexandria, Rapides Business and Career Center, local Louisiana Workforce Commission Office, Central Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management (CLSHRM) Chapter Membership, Cenla Louisiana Regional Chamber of Commerce, Rapides Business and Industry Alliance and Central Louisiana Community Technical College.
Northwestern State’s Office of Economic Development and Advancement is hosting the event.
“The CENLA Campus is an integral part of the community and plays a key role in driving local economic development and growth,” said Laurie Morrow, NSU’s executive director for Economic Development and University Advancement. “By offering specialized programs and training, we are equipping students with the skills needed to enter the workforce and contribute to the region’s thriving industries. “
