The Community Culture Parade will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, rolling out at 2 pm! Our very own Latorria Pier Freeman has the honor of being the Grand Marshal leading the parade!! That’s a huge congratulations and very well deserved! The Community Culture Parade isn’t something that we should take lightly or take for granted! It’s a public celebration for the African American culture filled with history, achievements, honors, and what our future may hold! The parade highlights the presence and the importance of the Black community! The parade will showcase the music, the dance, costumes, floats, cars, and valuable information that can educate many for years to come! The parade is a way of saying, hey, WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!! Hey, it’s okay to STICK TOGETHER!! Hey, it’s okay to praise the next brother or sister!! One thing I’m sure many love about the Community Culture Parade is that it shows the emotions behind many! It shows where many believe in breaking generational curses but also by honoring those who went before us and those that are helping and giving back in this day and time! There’s so much talent that will go forth on Saturday, March 22, 2025! There’s no history without the history of African Americans! There’s no history without removing the limitations of talent that will go forth on this day! Community engagements, community building, empowerment, education, awareness, and change! Ages from old to young can intertwine and understand the African American culture from one another’s perspective!! Different generations having a genuine understanding without having a preconceived notion of one another without writing one another off! Genesis 1:27 (KJV) states: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them and 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) states:But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart! So, guess what? If God can see us in his image and look at our hearts, we should be able to look at our brothers and sisters and lift them up instead of being jealousy-hearted and putting them down! If you see your brother or sister at the parade this year, no matter the color, please lift one another up and enjoy not only the parade but your day as well!
